A Place in the Son

Staff

Glen Dameron
Senior Pastor

Glen is a native Washingtonian who grew up in Oxon Hill in Prince George’s County. He attended the University of Florida for a year, got homesick and returned to the area to attend and graduate from the University of Maryland. After working for a couple of years in banking and retail, he answered his call to ministry and matriculated at Wesley Theological Seminary. Upon graduation from seminary, he began serving churches in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Before being appointed to Trinity in July 2010, Glen had served churches in Silver Spring, Damascus, Street, La Vale, and Monrovia.

Glen and his wife Lisa have been married for 33 years, and they have one spoiled-rotten-only-child daughter, Melissa( she takes after her father!), and a son-in-law, Ron. They are a family of animal lovers with Glen and Lisa having three dogs, and Melissa and Ron parenting two golden retrievers puppies as well as a couple of cats. (These are the only “grandchildren” to date!)

In his spare time, Glen enjoys golf, magic, and working out. He and Melissa are “Parrottheads” – fans of Jimmy Buffett and usually attend at least one of his concerts a year. The Damerons also like the beach and purchased a vacation/retirement condo in Myrtle Beach in 2010.

Currently serving on the conference’s Board of Pensions and Health Benefits, Glen served for several years on the Accommodations Committee, and also as chair of the Board of Evangelism. His passions in ministry include preaching, pastoral care, and missions.

Glen’s favorite Bible verse is John 10:10b –“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” His desire is to help others to discover the abundant life in Christ as we work together making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Lynn Wilson
Assistant Pastor

In September of 2005 Lynn was appointed to serve Trinity as a half-time Assistant Pastor. She grew up in a small mountain community called Chestnut Hill which is located across the river and up the mountain from Harpers Ferry, WV. She attended the Chestnut Hill United Methodist church where she was an active member of the Sunday School and youth group. At the age of 15 she was asked to be the youth representative to the Administrative Council and this is where she started her life’s journey of working in the church. As an adult she held the positions of Youth Group Leader, Coordinator of Youth, Sr. High Sunday School teacher, Director of Christmas Programs, Lay Leader and Lay member to the annual conference.

Lynn has been married to her husband Bill for 33 years. They have resided for the last 29 years in Shannondale which is about 8 miles from where they both lived as children. Bill is retired and works as a volunteer part-time pastor for a small independent Baptist church. They are the proud parents of 3 children, Tai, Lea and Matthew, and equally proud grandparents of ten wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 19 years to 10 months.

Before answering God’s call to serve in ministry Lynn’s life experience taught her much about loving and caring for others. Various employments range from nursing assistant in an elder care facility to an administrative assistant in Loudoun Hospital Center.

Lynn is a licensed Local Pastor in the Baltimore Washington Conference. She is currently preparing for her third year of studies at Wesley Seminary where she has completed 2 of the 5 years required for her to become an Associate member of the annual conference. She is also continuing to work on an Associate Degree with the emphasis of her study being done in the areas of psychology, sociology and social work.

Lynn says that her goal is to serve God in the way and where God leads her. One of her favorite Bible verses is from Timothy 6:6, “There is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.” Being content in the Lord is what makes her smile.
